Ideal number of episodes for TV seasons according to U.S. viewers 2022, by age
Almost all age groups of the public in the United States favor a TV series with 11 to 15 episodes per season, according to a survey conducted in November 2022. Only with respondents aged 45 to 64, an ideal number of episodes between six to 10 was slightly ahead (25 percent) to the most popular choice in other age groups. TV series having more than 16 episodes per season also tend to be more favorable among respondents aged 45 to 64 than among respondents that are younger. However, a number of one to five episodes per season was the least popular choice within all age groups.
