Ideal length for TV shows according to U.S. viewers 2022, by age
The majority of viewers in the United States considered one hour to be the ideal length for a TV show, according to a survey conducted in November 2022. More precisely, the majority of the U.S. population aged 35 and older preferred this length for a TV show, whilst the preference was highest among respondents aged 65 and older. Almost two thirds of respondents in this age group chose this option. However, viewers aged 18 to 34 years favored a length of between 30 minutes and 45 minutes.
