Per capita expenditure among elderly compared to overall population China 2014-2020
In 2020, the per capita spending of adults aged 60 years or older in China amounted to 16,307 yuan a year, nearly one third lower than the 21,210 yuan of all age groups. That year, more than 60 percent of Chinese seniors' spending went to daily necessities.
