According to a survey conducted in December 2022 among voters in the United States, six in 10 respondents reported they would support a ban or congressional actions on Chinese-owned social media on government devices. Among voters who identified themselves as Republicans, the share of respondents reporting they would support such measures rose to 63 percent of voters.
