Japan: unit price of defense equipment MTDP for ASDF

Japan planned to procure nine Airborne Early Warning (Control) Aircraft (E-2D) for the Air Self-Defense Forces costing 26.2 billion Japanese yen per piece during the period of the current Medium Term Defense Program (MTDP) that lasts from fiscal year 2019 to 2023. This type of aircraft was the most expensive item on the MTDP for the Air Self-Defense Forces in terms of unit price.
