France: professional election results 2021

In May 2021, the Haut Conseil du Dialogue Social (HCDS) published a press release regarding union membership in the private sector over the period 2017-2021, in which the Confédération Démocratique des Travailleurs Français (CFDT) confirmed its position as the leading French union, with 26.77 percent of the votes obtained in the various professional elections held over the period. The Confédération Générale du Travail (CGT) came in second, with nearly 23 percent of the vote.
In France, the union audience is a key issue for organizations, insofar as a union must exceed eight percent of the audience to be qualified as a "representative" union and to be able to negotiate collective agreements.

- Professional elections (Comité Social et Economique - CSE) organized in companies with at least 11 employees between January 1, 2017 and December 31, 2020.
- Elections in very small companies, organized among employees of companies with less than 11 employees and home workers, held from March 22 to April 6, 2021.
- Elections to the departmental chambers of agriculture, for employees in agricultural production, which were held in January 2019."
