In 2020, Colombia had a mental health workforce of approximately 292.87 professionals per 100,000 people. Nurses specializing in mental health topped the list, with around 147.17 professionals per 100,000 population that year. Meanwhile, there were about 2.5 psychiatrists per 100,000 people in the South American country. According to a survey carried out in November 2022, nervousness feelings was the most commonly experienced symptom of a mental health condition in Colombia.
