French views on social action's impact on pension reform application 2023, by gender
If a good part of the French population supported or sympathized with the mobilization against the pension reform proposed by Emmanuel Macron and Elisabeth Borne's government in January 2023, a majority believed that this reform would be voted on and applied despite the protests. When questioned at the end of January 2023, only 28 percent of French people (31 percent of men and 24 percent of women) thought that the social movement would lead the government not to apply this reform.
