IDPs returned to the their homes worldwide 2023, by country

In 2023, more than one million people who had been internally displaced in Ukraine, most of these due to the Russian invasion in 2022, were able to return to their homes. Moreover, more than 600,000 internally displaced Ethiopians were able to return to their homes. In total, more than 1.26 million IDPs had returned to their homes as of mid-2022.
