On average, a private household in Germany had financial assets worth around 182,400 euros, as of 2022. This was a decrease compared to the year before at around 191,300 euros. Financial assets of private households consist of kept cash reserves, bank investments and securities (stocks, fixed-income securities and investment fund shares), as well as claims regarding insurance and pension schemes.
