When surveyed in August 2022, respondents from the United Kingdom stated how much they spent per night in selected large hotel chains. Out of the chains represented, Sofitel was on average the most expensive large hotel chain per night in the UK, at 204 British pounds. Meanwhile, the cheapest chain in the survey was Travelodge, with an average cost per night of 78 British pounds.
