Number of employees in wholesale and retail trade in Czechia 1993-2022
The number of employees in wholesale and retail trade in Czechia fluctuated in the observed period. Although the number was the lowest in 1993 at 497.5 thousand workers, this figure reached its all-time high of 643.8 thousand employees in 1997. Afterward, the numbers stabilized around the 600 thousand mark. In 2021, the figures were on a downward trend, decreasing to 577 thousand workers, the lowest since 1994. A year later, the number rose back to 583 thousand.
