India: fleet composition of airline by aircraft type

As of March, 2021, IndiGo had the biggest fleet among all Indian airlines, with 285 aircrafts. It was mostly made up by Airbus' A320-200. IndiGo was followed by Air India, owned by Tata Group since 2022, with 125 aircrafts. A320-200 is a narrow body aircraft with typical range of 6,100 kilometers with 150 passengers.
