A survey conducted in September 2021 revealed that 37 percent of consumers in Europe preferred to make their sporting goods purchases online rather than in brick-and-mortar stores. This figure is up from the 33 percent of consumers who felt the same in 2019.

The survey took place in the following countries: Germany, Austria, United Kingdom, France, Italy, Spain, Portugal, Netherlands, Belgium, Denmark, Sweden, Norway, Finland, Poland, Hungary, Romania, and Slovakia
500 respondents were surveyed per country.
