A 2022 survey showed that in Brazil, 92 percent of board members of various companies agreed that organizations should be required to report a cyber incident to the government within a reasonable timeframe. The United States and the United Kingdom (UK) followed, with most respondents, 90 and 86 percent, respectfully agreeing with the statement. Overall, 80 percent of global board directors agreed that organizations should work together with regulators by reporting a material cyber-attack.
