According to a survey conducted in South Korea in 2023, around 38 percent of respondents stated that they had bought toys related to characters at online shopping malls. Other common channels people had bought such toys through at large supermarkets, shopping complexes or outlets as well as stores specialized in character merchandising, both permanent and pop-up.
