Anxiety and depression: spending in Spain 2019-2021

In 2021, spending associated with anxiety and depression in Spain, including direct and indirect costs, reached approximately 1.51 billion euros, up from around 1.19 billion euros reported a year prior. The estimated expenditure on these mental health conditions increased by about 15 percent in the European country compared to 2019, when it reached about 1.31 billion euros.
