According to a survey conducted in Australia from July to August 2022, the leading motivation among consumers to reduce their household consumption and waste was to lessen the amount of waste that goes to landfill, with around 68 percent of respondents indicating this. Reducing cost of living expenses was also a key motivator for Australian consumers to change their consumption habits and reduce household waste.
