Japan: share of people practicing hair removal by age 2022

The majority of young adults in Japan had experience with epilation or depilation, as revealed in a survey conducted between January and February 2022. More than 51 percent of respondents aged 20 to 29 years stated that they removed body hair by themselves or with the help of professionals before. The share of people practicing body hair removal shrank with higher age groups.
