According to a survey conducted in Japan in 2021, men in their twenties on average spent 206 minutes per day using their smartphones. The survey showed that men above the age of 40 spent more time on watching television than on smartphone use, which was not the case for younger generations.

50 to 59 years: n=199
60 to 69 years: n=175
70 years and above: n=257
