According to a survey conducted in Japan in 2021, women in their twenties on average spent 208 minutes per day using their smartphones. The survey showed that women above the age of 40 spent more time on watching television than on smartphone use, which was not the case for younger generations.

40 to 49 years: n=199
50 to 59 years: n=238
60 to 69 years: n=195
70 years and above: n=292
