In Italy, supermarket chains are the biggest competitors of food delivery services, a 2023 survey showed. About 60 percent of Italian consumers purchasing groceries both online and offline opted for the e-commerce site of the mobile app of grocery stores. In turn, grocery delivery services like Getir or Glovo represented an alternative option for about one-fourth of surveyed shoppers.
