Annual adult reading rate in South Korea 2011-2021, by publication type

According to a survey conducted in South Korea in 2021, around 41 percent of respondents stated that they had read more than one printed book within the last year. While the reading rate of printed books has decreased over the past decade, it is still ahead of other types of publications, such as e-books and audio books. The overall reading rate of all three types amounted to 47.5 percent that year.
