Grain production in Ukraine 2021/22-2023/24, by type
Corn was the most produced grain type in Ukraine. In the marketing year 2022/2023, Ukraine's corn production reached 27 million metric tons. In the following 12-month period, the production volume was expected to increase by 2.5 million metric tons. In the marketing year 2023/2024, Ukraine's corn production was forecast to be the seventh-largest worldwide. Furthermore, the country is one of the major wheat producers. In the marketing year 2023/2024, Ukraine was expected to produce over 23 million metric tons of wheat, approximately 1.9 million metric tons less than a marketing year prior.
