The suicide rate in Turkey fluctuated from 2009 to 2023. The lowest value was recorded in 2011 at 3.6 suicides per 100,000 population. In 2021, suicide rates in the country reached a record value, amounting to 4.98 suicides per 100,000 population. In 2023, the figures decreased slightly to per 100,000 population. Over the analyzed period, the suicide rate among men was always higher than women in the country.
