When surveyed in 2022, the leading reason stated by avid sports fans for not participating in fantasy sports was a lack of knowledge of fantasy sports, with 46 percent saying so. In contrast, a lack of interest in sports was the chief obstacle that stopped 63 percent of light sports fans from taking part in fantasy sports.
