In 2023, over 674,000 people in Russia were diagnosed with cancer for the first time, marking an increase from the previous year. The number of cancer diagnoses in women outweighed those of men in every year under consideration. Following a period of continuous growth between 2011 and 2019, the number of first-diagnosed cancer cases in Russia abruptly dropped in 2020
