As of January 2024, 44 percent of all mobile paid subscription apps operated with a free trial of the duration of less than four days. Approximately half of mobile apps reported offering a trial periods between five and nine days, before asking users to pay for their services. In comparison, only 4.5 percent of the examined apps reported to offer a free trial of 17 to 32 days.
