Meanwhile, the company's Scope 3 emissions were estimated at 438 MtCO₂e. Scope 3 emissions refer to indirect emissions that occur in sources not owned or controlled by a company, such as those related to the use of products delivered to the market. Annually, they have accounted for roughly 90 percent of Petrobras' total value chain emissions (Scope 1, 2, and 3) since 2015.
