In 2022, the top five listed insurance companies in the United Arab Emirates-based on the gross written premium (GWP) in absolute figures were Orient, ADNIC, Sukoon, DIN, and EIC respectively. Sukoon had the most significant growth in GWP at approximately 24 percent. Meanwhile, Orient had the largest GWP and the second-highest growth in GWP at around 21 percent. Overall, the collective GWP of the top five companies was around 18 billion United Arab Emirate Dirham up from around 15 billion United Arab Emirate Dirham in the previous year.
