The volume of available public charging points in the United Kingdom peaked in July 2024 after a period of consistent growth, reaching over 64,630 units. This increase in the UK's public charging network coincides with a rise in battery-electric vehicle (BEV) sales. In 2023, BEVs were the second best-selling propulsion type, second only to petrol cars.
