Twitter (rebranded as X) had the highest engagement during the African Cup of Nations (AFCON 2021), with around 6,140 posts. Facebook and Instagram followed, with 4,277 and 1,838 posts, respectively. Furthermore, Facebook had the highest number of social media users subscribed to the Confédération Africaine De Football (CAF) following the tournament ending.
