A survey conducted in July 2023 in the United States found that consumers' reasons for using biometric authentication to validate online purchases vary from generation to generation. While around 29 percent of respondents from Gen Z used biometrics to ensure faster checkout, baby boomers and seniors' main reason was improved security and fraud prevention, according to more than 35 percent of respondents.
