According to a study conducted between June 2022 and July 2023, which found 948,000 social media posts containing meat and dairy misinformation, 37 percent of such posts promoted the idea that elites were planning A Great Reset. Overall, one quarter of these posts claimed that alternative proteins were unhealthy, while 18 percent stated that animal-based food products were essential for good health. Additionally, four percent of posts contained greenwashing, claiming that animal-based food products were environmentally friendly.
