According to an April 2024 survey, around 60 percent of respondents in the United States between 45 and 64 years said they would strongly oppose limiting each American's internet usage to a certain maximum amount of data per week. Younger generations seemed to be more supportive of that idea. Around a quarter of those aged 18-29 years said they would somewhat support limiting the weekly amount of internet data usage, compared to nine percent of those 65 years and older.
