According to a survey conducted in Thailand in 2023, Bangkok was the leading province for international luxury tourists in Thailand. Other popular provinces are Phuket, Chonburi, and the southern province of Surat Thani which is home to the famous tourist islands Koh Samui, Koh Phangan and Koh Tao.
