The world is estimated to invest almost two trillion U.S. dollars in clean energy technologies in 2024, with China alone accounting for around one-third of this total. To meet COP28 goals of limiting global temperature rise to 1.5 degrees Celsius and achieving net-zero emissions by 2050, global investment in clean energy technologies will need to roughly double by 2030, with investments in clean power alone needing to reach 2.3 trillion dollars that year.
