In February 2023, a total of about 20.7 billion standard cubic feet per day of natural gas was produced in Nigeria by the American multinational energy corporation Chevron. Of this production, around 18.8 billion standard cubic feet per day were utilized, while some 1.9 billion standard cubic feet per day were flared.
