Online expansion of MSMEs in India, by type of activity as of FY 2023

Around 70 percent of the 85 million MSMEs in India were connected to the internet in the financial year 2023. This was expected to increase to around 82 percent of 103 million merchants by the financial year 2027. However, only around 2.5 percent were selling products online in the financial year 2023. This was expected to increase to around 5.5 percent by the financial year 2027.
