In 2023, Västra Götaland was the Swedish county with the most electric and hybrid buses. The western county's electric bus fleet was over double the size of the one recorded in Skåne, the second county in the ranking. Aside from in Dalarna and Gotland, battery-electric vehicles were more popular than their hybrid and plug-in hybrid counterparts.
