Global biofuel demand is set to increase over the coming years, with ethanol expected to continue making up the highest share. Moreover, renewable biodiesel or hydrotreated vegetable oil (HVO), which has a higher quality than traditional biodiesel, is set to increase demand more than six-fold by 2028 compared to 2016 levels.
