In 2024, approximately two-thirds of online merchants reported they were currently using or planning to use generative AI in e-commerce fraud management in the next 12 months. Other AI/ML-driven fraud tools currently being used by merchants included positive behavior models (39 percent) and vendor-provided solutions (37 percent).
