In 2023, there were more registered leased passenger cars in the Netherlands were using electric batteries than petrol as a fuel. Diesel passenger cars were nearly nonexistent in the leasing industry. Conversely, over 80 percent of the registered leased light commercial vehicles used diesel, while 17 percent used electric power.
