A survey conducted in the United States in 2024 shows what website features consumers think could negatively affect their image of a brand or retailer. Around 41 percent of shoppers perceived a brand or retailer's webpage in a negative light if it lacked customer support information. Similarly, about two-fifths of consumers would get a bad image of an e-commerce site if they had to use chatbots instead of conversing with human agents for customer support.
