A survey conducted among online shoppers of different age groups in the United States in 2024 showed why consumers purchase from direct-to-consumer (D2C) stores instead of retailers that sell multiple brands. Most age groups liked the fact that they can customize the products to their needs. For example, nearly a quarter of those aged 18 to 29 and roughly 22 percent of those aged 30 to 39 were of that opinion.
