In 2022, around 15,300 people in their sixties were brain tumor patients in South Korea. They were the largest age group in the country to suffer from the disease, with younger age groups in general recording less cases than older age groups. Brain tumors form when a mass of abnormal cells grow in or around the brain and may be either malignant or benign.
