Most popular movie screening types among U.S. cinema-goers 2024

According to a survey led in 2024 in the United States, 28 percent of moviegoers claimed that they attended 2D screenings, making them the most popular screening type. IMAX screenings followed with about 20 percent of respondents, whereas 4DX Cinema registered an audience share of seven percent that same year.
