In a 2023 survey conducted among journalists regarding their perceptions of media organizations and their coverage of political parties in India, approximately 73 percent of respondents reported that there is favouritism or bias towards one party in news coverage. In contrast, about 12 percent of respondents believed that all political parties receive the same and fair treatment in media coverage.
