Perception of political bias in Indian news coverage 2023, by party

In a 2023 survey conducted among journalists about their perceptions of media organizations and their coverage of political parties in India, about 73 percent of respondents indicated that there is favouritism or bias towards one party in news coverage. When asked which party they felt was favoured, about 82 percent of these respondents pointed to the Bharatiya Janata Party, while around three percent believed that the media favours the Congress Party in its coverage.
