A survey conducted in 2023 shows what are the forms a company can use customers' data in the United States and United Kingdom. Almost 70 percent of the time the companies use the data as a form of limiting the number of times an advertisement is shown to the customers and around 65 percent of the time to save information, so the consumers do not have to insert them again when entering the website on other occasions. Receiving personalized ads in some form ranges between 40 and 57 percent.
